The Marina and Yacht Management Program (Associate Degree) consists of four semesters (two years), and the medium of instruction is Turkish. To complete the program, students must earn a minimum of 120 ECTS credits in total. The curriculum is designed to equip students with professional knowledge and skills in areas such as marina management, yacht management, marine tourism, basic seamanship, marina operations, yacht and customer services, marine tourism marketing, financial and managerial processes, digital marina management, maritime legislation, maritime safety, occupational health and safety, and environmental management and sustainability.
The program aims to enable students to understand the organizational and management structures of marina and yacht businesses; apply basic seamanship and yachting knowledge to professional practices; plan and execute marina operations; manage customer needs and expectations; improve service quality; comprehend financial and procurement processes; and utilize digital technologies. Furthermore, the program supports students in evaluating the national and international structure of the marine tourism sector; applying relevant legislation, maritime contracts, occupational health and safety standards, maritime safety protocols, environmental protection measures, sustainability practices, and professional ethics; developing foreign language and professional communication skills; and devising solutions to challenges encountered in the sector. Theoretical instruction is complemented by practical work, projects, field applications, and internships, aiming to help students integrate their professional knowledge and skills with real-world industry environments.
